01 · Montessori
Order, independence, real materials.
Children choose purposeful work and master it at their own pace, guided by a Montessori-trained educator across six learning areas.
Winnipeg's only Reggio-inspired Montessori
A licensed early learning school on Wilton Street for children 3 months to 6 years old, open all twelve months of the year. Montessori gives them order and independence. Reggio gives them a hundred ways to express what they discover.
Open all year, Monday to Friday. No summer closure.
Our approach
Most schools choose between structure and creativity. In every River Heights classroom, a Montessori educator and a Reggio-inspired educator work side by side, so children get both.

01 · Montessori

02 · Reggio-inspired
Art, music, drama and building become the ways children explore their ideas. Long projects grow from their own questions and are documented as they unfold.

03 · STEAM
Science, technology, engineering, art and math are woven through the day in play, books and conversation, starting with our youngest learners.
Our programs

Nido · Infants and toddlers
A home-like room prepared for movement, language and connection, where each child moves at their own developmental pace.

Preschool · Ages 2 to 6
Every preschool room is led by two Master Educators, one Montessori and one Reggio-inspired. Part-time spaces are available for ages 2 to 5.

Our team
Every classroom is led by Early Childhood Educators with specialist Montessori or Reggio training, under a Director with about 20 years in early learning.
As a parent, seeing how happy, comfortable and confident Ray has become is probably the best testimonial I can give. I'm very grateful to everyone at River Heights for giving Ray such a warm and welcoming place to grow.
